About this event

It's Not Dead Yet! Deciding Whether or Not to Appeal.

Presented by April Maxwell

Forget about the mechanics of HOW you go through an appeal, probably the most important decision you have to make is whether or not you should appeal a case. What are the most important things to consider? Come talk about the how, when, and why of appeals, and what to do when you decide to appeal.

*This program is open to everyone in the bankruptcy community, including staff.*

(See below for any materials and Zoom link)
Shortly after the program, a recording will be on ACBC’s YouTube Channel, and ACBC’s website Resources page.

April Maxwell is the owner of Maxwell Law Group. April has experience in appeals and civil litigation, but bankruptcy appeals have her heart. She has argued in front of the 9th Circuit and the 5th Circuit, and has authored amicus briefs for multiple organizations, including two national organizations. Her two favorite things to do are to sit in the corner with music while she researches and writes, and to spend time with her kids. And she still makes a mean cinnamon roll.
