Have you ever wondered how a Chapter 13 Trustee is compensated? Or how a Chapter 13 Trustee is similar and different from a Chapter 7 Trustee? Did you know that all Chapter 13 Trustees and their staff are capped on their compensation? This seminar will answer these questions and more. It will offer a behind-the-scenes look at how a Chapter 13 Trustee Office operates internally. Our presenters will focus on debunking the myths surrounding Chapter 13 Operations as well as shedding light on some little-known facts that drive their policies and procedures. In turn, this will help inform your strategies for representing Chapter 13 debtors.

Scott Hyder, a recently appointed Chapter 7 panel trustee, will discuss practical best practices for debtor’s counsel when working with Chapter 7 trustees. The program will address common issues and recurring mistakes made by debtors and their attorneys, and provide an overview of how a Chapter 7 trustee approaches case administration and decision-making. Scott will also answer questions from attendees and provide guidance on how to navigate trustee inquiries more efficiently.
Scott is encouraging everyone to send questions, concerns or topics before the program. Please send to Ddrain@DianeDrain.com and she will compile them so they are anonymous.
